In 2000, I was making my pearl leis for charitable events around Honolulu. Quickly my jewelry line expanded to different designs and I was picked up in many different stores, multiple locations around the State of Hawaii, such as; Martin and Macarthur, Nohea Gallery and Macys Island Jewelry section. Further expansion to stores in Maui , Kauai and Big island and in Beacon hill, Massachusetts..

In 2012, we moved to Maui from Oahu to focus on raising our son in Upcountry, Maui. After many years of supplying stores throughout Hawaii with pearl jewelry I thought my wholesale business had come to an end. However, passions rarely leave you entirely.

In 2019 I started selling my pearl jewelry creations at the Upcountry Farmers Market and it has been such a rewarding experience meeting and helping my customers with their pearl needs.

Mahina, in Hawaiian mythology is the Goddess of the Moon. The name for my jewelry business was gifted to me by Mihana Souza of Puamana twenty plus years ago .
